Tord Lundström

Tord Göte Lundstrom (born 4 March 1945) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player and coach.

Growing up in Kiruna, Sweden, Lundström attributed his love of hockey began after watching Eilert Määttä win the 1957 World Cup.

[4] He competed as a member of the Sweden men's national ice hockey team at the 1968 and 1972 Winter Olympics.

[5][6] Lundström then moved to North America where he joined the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL) for the 1973–94 season.

[4] After injuring his shoulder, Lundström broke his contract and left the NHL to join the London Lions in England for the rest of the season.
