From 1931 to 1937 there was a Reserve Tournament that was part of the Campeonato de Selección y Competencia of the Peruvian First Division.
These tournaments stopped being played because they entered into controversy due to the sum of points.
The reserve tournament awarded: 3 points to the winner of a match, 2 to a draw, 1 to a defeat and 0 to the team that did not show up (walk over).
