Vinkhumbo was also a member of the Malawi team that finished third at the 2016 Fast5 Netball World Series.

Her older brother, Aubrey Vinkhumbo, played football as a defender for Mighty Wanderers.

[12][13][14][15][16] Vinkhumbo represented Malawi at the 2010, 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games and at the 2011, 2015 and 2019 Netball World Cups.

[7][8] National co-coaches Peace Chawinga-Kaluwa and Mary Waya announced a twelve person squad in January 2025 to compete at the Quad Series campaign in Nottingham.

The chose six new names and six experienced players who were Vinkhumbo, Takondwa Lwazi, Joyce Mvula, Grace Mwafulirwa-Mhango, Thandi Galeta and Martha Dambo.
