It passes via Kaul, Pundri, Pillu khera, Julana, Kalanaur, Charkhi Dadri and Kanina.
It will reduce the distance from Chandigarh to Delhi, Narnaul, and Jaipur, thus decongesting NH-44 and NH-48.
