Travis Waddell (born 11 July 1989) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays for the Souths Logan Magpies in the Intrust Super Cup.
He previously played for the Canberra Raiders, Newcastle Knights and most recently the Brisbane Broncos in the National Rugby League.
However, in January, Newcastle coach, Wayne Bennett asked Waddell to come and train with the NRL team a week each month while still playing for Souths Logan,[7] with Newcastle CEO Matthew Gidley revealing that Waddell would train with the team in case he was needed during the season for the Novocastrians.
[11] In June 2013, the Newcastle side released Waddell back to the Souths Logan Magpies in the Queensland Cup for the remainder of the 2013 season but he returned to the club in 2014 on a full-time deal.
[12] In September 2014, Newcastle Knights coach Wayne Bennett revealed that Waddell would be following him to the Brisbane Broncos in 2015 on a two-year contract.
