The Triangle Network, formally known as the Triangle Arts Trust, is an international arts organisation that brings together artists from different countries to explore new ideas and expand the boundaries of their practice.
The Triangle Network was established in 1982 by British businessman Robert Loder and sculptor Anthony Caro.
[1] It was initiated through a series of artists' workshops providing an uninterrupted period of two weeks where 20–25 artists from diverse cultural backgrounds engage with each other, to explore new ideas and expand the boundaries of their practice.
[citation needed] David Elliott was appointed to chair the board, succeeding Robert Loder who retired in 2009.
[1] It coalesces grassroots arts organisations around the world (many of which were initiated as workshops while others grew independently), so that artists' mobility, international cultural exchange and capacity building objectives can be shared.
