In the United States' team, Pearson and Knibb retained while Kevin McDowell and Katie Zaferes were replaced with Seth Rider and Taylor Spivey.
In the Great Britain's team, Yee and Taylor-Brown retained while Jonny Brownlee, now retired, and Jess Learmonth replaced with Sam Dickinson and Beth Potter.
For the host country's team, Vincent Luis, Dorian Coninx and Léonie Périault are all replaced with Pierre Le Corre, Léo Bergère and Emma Lombardi while Beaugrand is the only athlete who retained from the previous Olympics.
