Tropidophorus baviensis, also known commonly as the Bavi water skink or Bavay's keeled skink, is a species of lizard in the subfamily Sphenomorphinae of the family Scincidae.
T. baviensis is found in northern Vietnam[1][2] and in adjacent northeastern Laos (Xiangkhouang Province).
[1] The type locality (to which the specific name baviensis refers) is Mt.
Ba Vi, Ha Tay Province, northern Vietnam.
[2] The preferred natural habitats of T. baviensis are forest and freshwater wetlands, at altitudes of 400–1,500 m (1,300–4,900 ft).
