Tryon, Oklahoma

The community is named after early land owner Fred S. Tryon.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.3 square miles (6.0 km2), of which 2.3 square miles (6.0 km2) is land and 0.43% is water.

Tryon is located on State Highway 105, east of U.S. Route 177.

At the 2000 census there were 448 people, 185 households, and 118 families living in the town.

There were 229 housing units at an average density of 99.5 per square mile (38.4/km2).
