Trzebiel ([ˈtʂɛbjɛl]) (German: Triebel) is a village in Żary County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland, close to the German border.
[1] It lies approximately 22 kilometres (14 mi) west of Żary and 59 km (37 mi) south-west of Zielona Góra, close to the A18 autostrada and the European route E36 from Berlin to Bolesławiec.
Located within the historical region of Lower Lusatia, the border with Upper Lusatia—the state country of Muskau—ran just a few miles south of the village.
In the Late Middle Ages, it was located at the intersection of important east-west and north-south trade routes.
There is a Catholic church of Our Lady Queen of Poland in the village.
