Twice the Speed of Life was Sugarland's only album as a trio, before Kristen Hall left in December 2005.

It was also certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The album was eventually certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of over three million copies in the United States.
