Tyrnävä

Tyrnävä (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈtyrnæʋæ]) is a municipality in the North Ostrobothnia region of Finland with a population of 6,497 (31 December 2024).

The city of Oulu is located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) north of the center of Tyrnävä.

The municipality has a lot of seed potato production, and the Tyrnävä's region is defined as one of the four high-quality seed potato growing areas in the European Union.
