USS Pinnebog (AOG–58) was a Patapsco-class gasoline tanker acquired by the U.S. Navy for the dangerous task of transporting gasoline to warships in the fleet, and to remote Navy stations.
Reactivated, she was assigned to MSTS in March 1952 and operated under contract with a civilian crew until July 1954, when she was again placed in reserve, berthed in Florida.
She was then operated by an MSTS civil service crew until September 1957, when she was loaned to the U.S. Air Force.
Pinnebog was struck from the Naval Register (date unknown) and custody was transferred to the Maritime Commission, 15 December 1987.
