Ulmus parvifolia 'Glory'

The Chinese Elm cultivar Ulmus parvifolia 'Glory' is one of the early American selections, best known for its winter hardiness.

It does not appear in Santamour and Bentz's 'Updated Checklist of Elm (Ulmus) Cultivars for use in North America' (1995).

[1][2] 'Glory' has an upright, vase-shaped growth habit.

[3] The tree can reach heights over 13 m.[4] The species and its cultivars are highly resistant, but not immune, to Dutch elm disease, and unaffected by the Elm Leaf Beetle Xanthogaleruca luteola.

The tree featured in the elm trials conducted by Northern Arizona University at Holbrook.
