Umberslade Baptist Church

The church, attached school rooms, and the church hall were originally recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building in 1972, but on 9 July 2014, the grading was raised to II*.

It has diagonal buttresses on three corners rising to the full height of the tower, surmounted by pinnacles.

The tall top stage has a clock face on each side over which are lancet bell openings.

They include the benches, the organ, the stained glass, and a Gothic style pulpit, in front of which is an open baptistry.

After being derelict for a time, the bells were restored in 1978 but, in the absence of an electrical supply, they cannot be sounded by the chiming machine.

The church is "the sole survivor among grand chapels associated with the rise of Birmingham Nonconformity".
