In November 2009, the club won the Copa Chile, their second major title, after beating Deportes Iquique in the final 3–0.

With this victory, they gained qualification for the 2010 Copa Sudamericana, beating LDU Quito 4–2 in the first leg, but losing 6–1 in Ecuador and being eliminated.
