Universidad Católica del Ecuador is an Ecuadorian football club based in Quito.

They play in the top tier of Ecuadorian football and have spent the majority of their history in the top-flight Serie A. Universidad Católica was officially founded on 15 May 1963.

Soon after, they became a football club on 15 May 1963 under Liga Deportiva de la Universidad Católica.
