Ust-Kansky District (Russian: Усть-Ка́нский райо́н, Ust'-Kanskiy rayon; Altay: Кан-Оозы аймак, Kan-Oozı aymak; Kazakh: Қан ауданы, Qan audanı) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the ten in the Altai Republic, Russia.
The area of the district is 6,244 square kilometers (2,411 sq mi).
[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Ust-Kan.[1] As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 15,007, with the population of Ust-Kan accounting for 27.5% of that number.
[3] Within the framework of administrative divisions, Ust-Kansky District is one of the ten in the Altai Republic.
[4] Both administrative[1] and municipal[4] districts are divided into the same eleven rural settlements, comprising twenty-four rural localities.
