Věžná (Pelhřimov District)

Věžná is a municipality and village in Pelhřimov District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic.

Věžná consists of two municipal parts (in brackets population according to the 2021 census):[2] The name is derived from the Czech word věž ('tower').

[4] The I/19 road (the section from Tábor to Pelhřimov) passes through the northern part of the municipality.

The main landmark of Věžná is the Church of Saint George.

It was built in the Baroque style in 1733–1734 on the foundations of an older medieval building.
