Valle del Retortillo is a municipality located in the province of Palencia, Castile and León, Spain.

According to the 2004 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 189 inhabitants.

The municipal term was created[2] at the end of the 20th century[3] merging the villages of former partido de Frechilla that had 135 homes and 364 inhabitantsitants.

The municipality has lost about a 50% of its population since then.
