Vallery

Vallery (French pronunciation: [valʁi]) is a commune in the Yonne department in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in north-central France.

The town was acquired by Louis de Bourbon, prince de Condé - uncle of the future Henry IV of France.

The town thus formed part of the extensive territories that were acquired by the Condé family over the years.

Louis's son Henri de Bourbon, stayed at the Château there.

The town was the traditional burial place of the Princes of Condé and their descendants.
