Vattamkulam is a village in Malappuram district of the Indian state of Kerala.

The name reportedly derives from the "valiya vattamkulam" (Big round pond) located at Chembazha Thazham.

Its head Ustad Abdul Vadood Nizami has a PhD which is rare among the Ulema.
