Vazhakulam is a village in Muvattupuzha Taluk is in Ernakulam district in the Indian state of Kerala.
Kerala Agricultural University established a Pineapple Research Station at Vazhakulam in 1995.
Vazhakulam pineapples are marketed as GI tagged products.
Rice used to be the main crop of this area in the 1960s and 1970s, but the advent of rubber cultivation turned many rice fields and estates into rubber plantations.
