Veľký Grob

Veľký Grob (Hungarian: Magyargurab) is a village and municipality in Galanta District of the Trnava Region of south-west Slovakia.

[1] An extended historic name Nemecký ("German") Grob (Hungarian: Német-Gurab) dates back to the 16th century.

Before the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, Veľký Grob was part of Pozsony County within the Kingdom of Hungary.

The municipality lies at an elevation of 130 metres and covers an area of 23.545 km².
