Veleň is a municipality and village in Prague-East District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.
Veleň consists of two municipal parts (in brackets population according to the 2021 census):[2] Veleň is located about 7 kilometres (4 mi) north of Prague.
It lies in a flat agricultural landscape in the Central Elbe Table.
In 1678, the Nostitz family bought Veleň and annexed it to the Pakoměřice estate.
[3] The railway line Prague–Všetaty briefly crosses the municipal territory in the west, but there is no train station.
