Velike Poljane (pronounced [ˈʋeːlikɛ pɔˈljaːnɛ]; German: Großpölland[2]) is a village in the Municipality of Ribnica in southern Slovenia.
It lies in the hills east of the main road and railway line from Ljubljana to Ribnica at Ortnek.
