Vellimalai Sri Vivekananda Ashramam

Vellimalai Sri Vivekananda Ashramam is a Hindu spiritual center and pilgrimage site located in the foothills of Vellimalai in Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu.

This ashrama was founded in 1940 by Swami Ambananda, a direct disciple of Sri Sarada Devi.

After his passing in 1951, Swami Madhurananda took over and expanded the ashrama's activities, including spiritual retreats, religious preaching, and helping the poor and needy.

[3] To enhance the social and religious services of the Ashram, the Hindu Dharma Vidya Peedam was established in 1984 as a dedicated educational endowment.

[4] The Peedam administers various examinations at different levels each year, conducts convocation ceremonies, and awards certificates to successful candidates.
