[2] The township contains these fifteen cemeteries: Arnold, Casteen, Dawson, Hall, Hambaugh, Lavina Henry, Martin, Mount Zion, Robison, Root, South Side, Suratt Burial Ground, Vandeventer, West Side and Woods.

As of the 2020 census[1] there were 656 people, 251 households, and 132 families residing in the township.

There were 363 housing units at an average density of 9.87 per square mile (3.81/km2).

The racial makeup of the township was 96.34% White, 0.46% African American, 0.46% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 2.74% from two or more races.

46.20% of all households were made up of individuals, and 33.50% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
