fimbrilepis is a flowering plant in the myrtle family, Myrtaceae and is endemic to the south-west of Western Australia.
fimbrilepis is a shrub which grows to a height and width of about 30–70 cm (10–30 in) and which has one openly branched stem at its base.
In 1991, Alex George undertook a review of the genus Verticordia and described two subspecies of V. fimbrilepis including this one.
[4][5] This subspecies of Verticordia fimbrilepis is classified "Threatened" by the Western Australian Government Department of Parks and Wildlife[4] meaning that it is likely to become extinct or is rare, or otherwise in need of special protection.
[7] This subspecies of V. fimbrilepis is a small open shrub with dainty pink flowers but has only been successfully propagated and grown at Kings Park, apart from a single specimen in Sydney.
