Viktor Rossi (born 31 October 1968) is a Swiss politician and civil servant.
[1][2] On 13 December 2023, he was elected Federal Chancellor of Switzerland, succeeding Walter Thurnherr, and took office on 1 January 2024.
In parallel, he was at first vice-president of the conference of rectors of commercial schools in the Canton Bern between 2004 and 2009, then president in 2009.
[5] Rossi joined the Federal Chancellery of Switzerland in October 2010, leading the Records Management and Logistics department.
He entered the race to succeed Walter Thurnherr at the end of 2023 to fill the position of Chancellor of the Confederation.
