"Village of the Angels" was co-written by showrunner and executive producer Chris Chibnall as well as Maxine Alderton who returned from the twelfth series.
[2] Chris Chibnall has stated that the storyline of "Village of the Angels" began with the idea of an episode exploring psychic research in the 1960s.
