Visa policy of Guyana

The Government of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana exempts visa requirements for nationals of specific countries or territories.

[1][8] Visas are not required for nationals of any country with a document stating that they were born in Guyana, or for children under age 18 born to nationals of Guyana if holding a birth certificate or parents' passport.

[1] Nationals of the following countries can obtain a visa on arrival: Nationals of any country traveling as tourists with an approval letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs of Guyana can also obtain a visa on arrival for a stay of up to 30 days.

[8] Travellers holding onward tickets may transit without a visa through airports in Guyana for 7 hours, except for nationals of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

2 Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Russia and the partially recognised republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia each span the conventional boundary between Europe and Asia.
