Vogeltown, New Plymouth

Vogeltown is a suburb of New Plymouth, in the western North Island of New Zealand.

It is located to the southeast of the city centre and east of Frankleigh Park.

[3] The suburb was named after Sir Julius Vogel,[4] Prime Minister of New Zealand in the 1870s.

Although some people chose not to answer the census's question about religious affiliation, 52.4% had no religion, 35.8% were Christian, 0.4% had Māori religious beliefs, 0.8% were Hindu, 0.4% were Muslim, 0.4% were Buddhist and 2.3% had other religions.

[9] The school was established in temporary premises in July 1915 and moved to its own site in May 1919.
