Volodarsky District (Russian: Волода́рский райо́н; Kazakh: Володар ауданы, Volodar audany) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the eleven in Astrakhan Oblast, Russia.

It is located in the south of the oblast.

The area of the district is 3,883 square kilometers (1,499 sq mi).

[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a settlement) of Volodarsky.

[3] Kazakhs are the dominant ethnic group in the district and make up around 68% of its population.
