Wadsworth is an unincorporated community in Matagorda County, Texas, United States.
[3] The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters.
[4] On October 11, 1902, Ambrose A. Plotner and John W. Stoddard purchased a tract of land known as the Kemp pasture.
[2] The community became a stop on the Gulf, Colorado, and Santa Fe Railroad and a post office was established in 1907.
