Waikapu (Hawaiian: Waikapū) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Maui County, Hawaii, United States.

As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 1,115 people, 347 households, and 274 families residing in the CDP.

There were 360 housing units at an average density of 32.8 per square mile (12.7/km2).

The racial makeup of the CDP was 15.25% White, 0.36% African American, 0.27% Native American, 48.61% Asian, 9.60% Pacific Islander, 0.54% from other races, and 25.38% from two or more races.

15.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
