Wailua Homesteads is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kauaʻi County, Hawaiʻi, United States.

Wailua Homesteads is located on the eastern side of the island of Kauai at 22°3′52″N 159°23′2″W / 22.06444°N 159.38389°W / 22.06444; -159.38389 (22.064507, -159.383875).

[2] As of the census[5] of 2000, there were 4,567 people, 1,655 households, and 1,189 families residing in the CDP.

There were 1,758 housing units at an average density of 249.7 per square mile (96.4/km2).

19.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 4.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
