Waldron, Indiana

Waldron is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Liberty Township, Shelby County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.

[4] The residents were later unsatisfied with the original name, and petitioned to have it changed to Waldron.

[5] The first post office in the community was called Conns Creek.

[6] The post office was established in 1839\2 and was renamed Waldron in 1876, where it is still operating.

[7] The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters.
