Warleggan

Warleggan or Warleggon (Cornish: Gorlegan) is a hamlet and civil parish on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor in Cornwall, England.

[2] A road was built in 1953 linking Warleggan to the A38; until then it had been regarded as one of the most remote areas of Cornwall.

There is a Cornish cross in the churchyard; its original location is unknown but it was brought here from Carburrow.

[7] In 1858 it was found on Warleggan Down between Carburrow and Treveddoe; later in the 19th century it was moved to its present position.

[9] The SSSI surrounds the River Warleggan, extending into Cardinham civil parish.
