It is bordered to the west by Gladewater and to the south and east by Clarksville City.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Warren City has a total area of 1.8 square miles (4.6 km2), all land.

The racial makeup of the city was 89.50% White, 7.87% African American, and 2.62% from two or more races.

14.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
