Unincorporated communities in the township include Warsaw, Hazen, Richardsville, Allens Mills, Egypt, and Reitz.
[4] North Fork Creek crosses the northern and western parts of the township, and Mill Creek forms the southeastern border.
As of the census[6] of 2000, there were 1,346 people, 517 households, and 396 families residing in the township.
The racial makeup of the township was 98.74% White, 0.67% Native American, 0.30% Asian, and 0.30% from two or more races.
20.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
