Wertach is a small town in the Oberallgäu district, southern Bavaria, Germany.
It is located in the German Alps, situated on the river Wertach, southeast of Kempten.
As part of the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria and the Gemeindeedikt of 1818 [de] the current municipality was formed.
