According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 29.4 square miles (76.1 km2), all land.

As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 1,128 people, 277 households, and 244 families residing in the township.

Out of all of the households that were documented, 10.8% were made up of individuals, and 5.4% had someone living alone who was sixty-five years of age or older.

For every one hundred females who were aged eighteen or older, there were 100.0 males.
