Westby Perceval

Sir Westby Brook Perceval KCMG (11 May 1854 – 23 June 1928) was a New Zealand politician of the Liberal Party.

His mother was Sarah Brook (née Bailey) and his father was her husband, Westby Hawkshaw Percival, an Irish member of the mounted police in Melbourne.

In the early 1860s, the family moved to Rangiora in New Zealand, a township 29 kilometres (18 mi) north of Christchurch.

He received his early education at Merton's school, where he became friends with William Pember Reeves.
