Weverton Formation

It is considered the basal member of the Chilhowee Group.

[2] The Buzzard Knob member is a coarse-grained quartzite with pervasive cross-beds.

The Owens Creek Member is a coarse-grained to conglomeratic metamorphosed greywacke.
