Whitaker, Pennsylvania

Whitaker is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States, and is on the Monongahela River 3 miles (5 km) upriver from Pittsburgh.

[3] The borough is named for James Whitaker, a pioneer settler.

[4] Whitaker was incorporated January 4, 1904, from part of the former Mifflin Township.

[6] Whitaker has two land borders, including Munhall to the northwest and West Mifflin to the south and east.

There were 620 housing units at an average density of 2,051.4 per square mile (792.0/km2).
