Wierzbno, Lower Silesian Voivodeship

Wierzbno [ˈvjɛʐbnɔ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Domaniów, within Oława County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.

[1] It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) north-east of Domaniów, 9 km (6 mi) west of Oława, and 24 km (15 mi) south-east of the regional capital Wrocław.

The name of the village is of Polish origin and comes from the word wierzba, which means "willow".

[2] The village was once a possession of the Saint Vincent Monastery in Wrocław.
