William Bennett Chester was a Church of Ireland bishop[1] and author.
[2] Educated at Trinity College, Dublin,[3] he was ordained in 1848.
After a curacy in Kilrush he held incumbencies at Killead, Kilkee, Ballymackey, Nenagh and Birr.
[4] He was Chancellor then Archdeacon of Killaloe before his elevation to the episcopate[5][6] in 1884.
