William G. Bray

Bray was called to active duty from the U.S. Army Reserve on June 21, 1941, with the rank of captain and was sent to Ft Benning to take the lead of Company A of the 193rd Tank Battalion.

In 1944 he was commander of the 767th Tank Battalion, leading them onto Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands campaign on Feb 1st, 1944.

After the war, he was transferred to Military Government and served nine months in Korea as deputy property custodian.

Named to be a commissioner to the American Battle Monuments Commission by President Gerald Ford from 1975 to 1978.
