William H. Wade

William Henry Wade (November 3, 1835 – January 13, 1911) was an American politician.

Wade was born near Springfield, in Clark County, Ohio on November 3, 1835.

Wade attended Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

On April 17, 1861, during the Civil War, Wade enlisted in the Union Army.

He commanded the 40th United States Colored Infantry Regiment and fought in Corinth, Murfreesboro, and Chickamauga.
